THE Marchmount Sands Striders, all members of Marchmount Bowling Club are pictured after completing the 20 mile Edinburgh Mighty Stride on Sunday.
And their efforts have raised £2600, so far, for Dumfries and Galloway Sands.
The walkers were Billy and Kirsty Haining, Bobby and Mary Jess, Leanne Hamilton, Amy and Jenine Buck, Zoe Kirk, Aileen Carson, Alan Glendinning, along with Jamie and Paul Fraser who nominated Sands.
Alan said: “We are so grateful to everyone who has donated either directly or through a raffle at the club and other fundraising activities. A few heavy legs on Monday morning and a couple of blisters but we all made it. What a great effort from all those walking.
“Another great achievement for Marchmount Bowling Club members off the green this time, but what a season it’s been for the club.”
