Star Hotel celebrates being fabulous and 40!

AN ICONIC Moffat hotel and restaurant celebrated four decades in business last week.

The Famous Star Hotel and Restaurant – which is the world’s narrowest detached hotel in the town’s High Street – has been run by the House and Leighfield family since July 27, 1985.

And the owners, staff, regulars all celebrated in style.

The hotel released a statement saying: “We’ve seen some massive changes over the years but we couldn’t have done it all without you, our fantastic customers. So here’s a massive thank you to customers and staff old and new! We appreciate all of the support over the years.”
