SOLWAY IHC legend Calum Hepburn has called time on his professional career, retiring to focus on his career away from the game and his family.

A product of the Solway junior system, netminder Calum has been a cornerstone of the Dumfries organisation for over a decade, making him one of the most respected figures both on and off the ice.

Reflecting on his career, Hepburn said: “The last ten or so seasons with the club have been a whirlwind with unforgettable moments for a number of reasons.

“From winning trebles and grand slams, to the club making a massive leap to the national league.

“To everyone I played, sorry you got stuck with me but you’ve all made it unforgettable. The management team, thanks for believing in me when you probably shouldn’t have.

“Lastly, I want to thank all the fans for your continued support through the good and bad time. Once a shark, always a shark.”

Hepburn has joined the Solway Sharks SNL team for the upcoming campaign.
