Small grants

THE Arts Society Dumfries and Galloway (TASDAG) has announced a programme of small grants to help amateur dramatic societies across the region.

The scheme is designed to encourage societies to apply by making the application process quite straightforward.

A society spokesperson said: "As everyone involved in am dram well knows, there are times when even a small top-up of funds can make a big difference.

"So, with the launch of this programme, TASDAG is urging local Am Drams to apply as soon as possible."

The closing date for applications is September 30 and the grants are available, subject to status, for amounts up to a maximum of £250 each.

The project reflects one of the charitable aims of TASDAG, whose membership continues to provide support and encouragement to arts and culture throughout Dumfries and Galloway.
