Sky’s the limit for Charli and Ellie
TWO women from Dumfries are taking a leap into the unknown this summer. Charli Wood and Ellie Graham are preparing for their first ever skydive in August. They are facing their fears in aid of the oncology department at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary, where they work in cancer services and for radiology. Charli said: “We’re honestly feeling a mix of nerves and excitement. It’s something we’d never do normally, but doing it for such an important cause makes it all worthwhile. “It means so much to us and knowing we’re raising money to help others gives us the courage to take the leap.” Explaining the reason for the challenge, she added: “Between working at DGRI and personal experience, this is something that means a lot to both of us. “Charli’s loved ones have been directly affected by cancer, and it’s shown us just how important the care and support from oncology really is. “We see every day the difference this department makes to people’s lives, and we just want to give something back.” The daring duo are well on track to hit their £1000 target and are already at £900.
