A GROUP of ambitious S2 students from Dumfries High School presented in the Young Philanthropy Initiative grand final.
YPI is an active citizenship programme which all of S2 have participated in this term where groups researched local social issues and charities that matter to them.
They then produced compelling presentations to raise awareness of their charities to attempt to secure a £3000 grant for them.
The winners of the school final, securing the £3000 grant, were Struan, Aziz, Liam and Kai who pitched for Queen of the South Community Trust.
Headteacher Phil Cubbon said: “A huge well done to the boys and all of the finalists for an excellent afternoon of presentations!”
