Sandy and Hugh to pop up in town

PROMINENT artists Sandy Robb and Hugh Bryden will be holding a two-day pop up show of their work this weekend.

The duo will be displaying their artwork in The Press at 117 High Street on Friday and Saturday, from 10 am to 5 pm each day.

It coincides with them taking part in the Friday Portraits exhibition in Gracefield Arts Centre.

The pair first exhibited together over 40 years ago and most recently had a joint exhibition in Kirkcudbright Galleries in 2024.

This exhibition will have a wide array of paintings drawings and prints in subject matter ranging from local landscapes and topographical sketches to still life. Works will be framed and unframed.

Hugh will also be showing pamphlets and artists books and some new wood engravings.

Everyone is invited along to meet the artists, who are both from Dumfries and Galloway, talk to them about their work and buy directly from them.
