A SEARCH for a missing pensioner ended in tragedy yesterday.
Police put out an appeal on Monday looking for information on the whereabouts of Nancy Hill, 81, after she went missing from the Kirkcudbright area.
Emergency services and the Coastguard were all involved in the hunt for her.
But on Tuesday night officers announced she had been found earlier in the day and taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary where sadly she passed away.
Her relatives are aware.
