Road closed

AN EMERGENCY road closure is in place on the A710 at Sandyhills. It was brought in on Tuesday just past the C27s junction due to the collapse of a culvert. Council officials say investigation works and replacement of the culvert are required. The closure order notes: "Due to the width of excavation it is not possible to plate the road for emergency vehicles. We do hope to have the road open by Friday under lights." In the meantime, a diversion is in place.
