Red glow

THE Easterbrook Hall in Dumfries turned red on Tuesday night as part of a nationwide campaign to support the events sector and all those who work in it and have been affected by Covid.

The #LightItInRed and #WeMakeEvents campaign

Gwilym Gibbons, of The Crichton Trust, said: “Easterbook Hall like so many venues across Scotland and the UK, have been the places of gatherings and the making of memories that bond our communities together. They have been a vital part of our lives whether that be places for celebrations, concerts and conferences, these places make connections between people: audience, speaker and performer which inspire and challenge us.

We need our venues, events and festivals which depend on the highly skilled teams of people who put on the show. These people need support more than ever before, without help now there will be no sector to rebuild.”

The Crichton Trust would like to acknowledge the support of Chris Gemmell from SVL Hire Limited, Graeme Henderson from Easterbrook Hall and Steve and Abby from Purplebox Productions and Mike Bolam Photography
