Public urged to fall in love with Gretna

BUSINESSES in Gretna are getting more exposure, thanks to a Covid-19 recovery package.

Everything the small town has to offer is being promoted on a new website and Facebook page called ‘Love Gretna’.

Community council chairman Alex Thomson explained the funding came from the ‘Love Local’ campaign, which was funded in partnership by Scotland’s Towns Partnership, The Scottish Government and Scotland’s Improvement Districts.

Heath Hampson has been appointed to create the Facebook group and website.

Alex Thomson said: “It’s nice that we can give the businesses something back.

“It has been a really hard few months and I think it wil be hard in the months to come as well.”

And treasurer, Gillian Thomson, added: “They supported the community and now it is time for the community to help them.”
