KIRKGUNZEON and Clovend Primary Schools have been awarded the prestigious Digital Schools Award. The national award recognises the schools' exceptional commitment to digitally enhanced teaching and learning, demonstrating excellence in their digital infrastructure, resources, and strategic vision. Every classroom is equipped with iPads, laptops, desktop computers, and Promethean Boards, ensuring access to technology throughout the day. Aoife O’Connor, programme coordinator at Digital Schools Awards Scotland, praised the schools' efforts, stating: “We are confident that Kirkgunzeon and Colvend Primary School will be a pioneer among schools where digitally enhanced teaching and learning is helping our children and young people prepare for living and working in the 21st century.” Headteacher Mrs. Aleksandra Stores added: “This award reflects the incredible teamwork and forward-thinking spirit of our pupils, staff, and wider school community. We see digital learning not as a standalone skill, but as a way to unlock creativity, independence, and inclusion for every child.”
