Praise for care staff
STAFF at JPM Community Care Services have been praised after an inspection. The Care Inspectorate were impressed by how good the service’s staff team were and how its care and support is planned. The watchdog marked them with the second highest possible grade ‘very good’. JPM Community Service is based in Lockerbie but coordinates the service for people living in the town, Dumfries, Annan, Gretna and surrounding rural areas. At the time of the inspection, 155 people were being supported by the service. Key messages from inspectors included that people were satisfied with the care and support provided; staff knew people’s needs and were observed to be kind and caring; reporting of information to the Care Inspectorate should improve; staffing numbers were sufficient to meet the needs of people supported and people were involved in developing and reviewing their personal plan.
