A CRACKDOWN on retail crime is ongoing in Dumfries, with another incident shared this week.
On Sunday, a suspected organised retail crime group was spotted at a retail park in the town and police were called.
They then carried out a search and traced the group, from Glasgow, at another retail park locally.
Fortunately no thefts had occurred but the driver of their car had no insurance so it was seized - pictured.
A force spokesperson explained officers work closely with retailers locally to deter and detect those involved retail crime, adding: "Unfortunately organised retail crime groups often target our area to carry out bulk, high value thefts often stealing thousands of pounds worth of alcohol, health and beauty products and and electronics at a time.
"We will continue to work closely with retailers and partners such as Retailers Against Crime to help protect them and their staff."
