Police seize ebikes

A TARGET operation took place at the weekend over the illegal use of e-scooters and Sur-ron bikes in Dumfries. Police officers stopped several users who were riding illegally on local roads and pavements. Their scooters and bikes were then seized. As a result, individuals were charged with road traffic offences, and one man was also charged with possessing an offensive weapon. A force spokesperson said: “?We want to remind the public that it is illegal to ride e-scooters and Sur-ron bikes on public roads, pavements, and other public areas. We will continue our efforts to stop and seize any vehicles being used illegally to ensure the safety of our community.”
