Police appeal

POLICE are appealing for information following a break-in at a Dumfries house at the weekend.

The home on Summerpark Road was broken into between 3.30 pm on Saturday and 4.45 am on Sunday.

Detective Constable Sarah Smith said: “We are appealing to anyone in the local area who has private CCTV or dash-cam footage that could help with our investigations to come forward.

“Additionally, anyone who saw anything suspicious in the hours leading up to, or during the night into Sunday, 27 July, is asked to contact police.”
