PEOPLE’S poet Peter Angelini BEM has written a new ode, this time honouring the region’s police force. It’s titled A Tribute to Our Police and goes: “If we travel round the world we are sure to come in contact with police everywhere. But here in Scotland we are proud to say we have the very best, with no other we can them compare. To say that is fair. They are smart, polite and friendly. In difficult times to help they are always there because they care. They work hard for the benefit of us all, Ready to answer every call. They must be more appreciated for the wonderful work they do night and day, Trying hard to protect people by keeping law and order and holding crime at bay. A safe environment they try to create, So with them we should always co-operate. Then the pressure of work will be alleviated, And in their difficult job they will become less frustrated. We must give them the credit that is due, Praising them and gratefully saying thank you.”
