Pet donations sought

SHOPPERS across Dumfries and Galloway are being encouraged to donate pet essentials this April to mark National Pet Month. Aldi is calling on customers to donate essential items in stores, as more families feel the impact of rising costs when caring for pets. With 86 per cent of pet owners saying the cost of owning a pet has increased, charities continue to see demand for support, including help with everyday essentials such as pet food. Donations will be distributed to local charities and community groups.
