Pair charged after drugs swoop

COCAINE worth £4200 was seized in a property in Dumfries on Saturday. Police raided an address in Glasgow Street and found the drugs, along with a four-figure sum of cash. As a result, a 25-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman were arrested and charged. The pair were released on an undertaking to appear at court at a later date. DI Scott Wilson said: “Drugs cause misery in our communities and we are committed to removing them from our streets. “This seizure underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy. “Information from the public is vital and we urge anyone with concerns around drugs in their area to contact Police Scotland on 101.”
