EXPANSION of a specialised oxygen therapy services means more people in the region will be able to benefit.

On its fourth birthday, Just Breathe O2 CIC have announced a significant growth at their centre at Palmerston Park in Dumfries following a £180,000 investment from the Firstport Catalyst Fund.

To mark the milestone, last week they took delivery of a state-of-the-art, 750kg four-person oxygen chamber.

It will open next month and make Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) more accessible locally for complex health conditions, cancer support, injury recovery and general wellbeing.

Community interest company Just Breathe O2 remains the only provider in Dumfries and Galloway and founder Beth Morrison-Findlay is keen to ensure it remains a community asset.

She said: “HBOT is an amazing resource, but it shouldn’t just be for those who can afford high commercial rates.

“Our model as a Community Interest Company means this investment is about self-sufficiency and accessibility. We are the only

facility of our kind for 100 miles, and we take that responsibility seriously. We are here for everyone—from the athlete with a broken bone to the person managing a complex long-term illness.”
