Over 45 years experience supporting students in English and maths
WE spoke to Carly Johnston, Kip McGrath centre owner at Dumfries, to find out what they offer. What is Kip McGrath? It is a tutoring company started in Australia almost 50 years ago which has tried and tested methods for improving reading, writing and mathematical ability for students of all ages. Kip McGrath, Dumfries has been open for over ten years and for the last 12 months has been owned by Carly Johnston (franchisee of the year 2023); Kip McGrath Carlisle owner for six years; responsible for teaching over 350 students per week across the two centres). How does it work? Before enrolling students are offered a free assessment to find out their strengths and weaknesses. Then a lesson plan is developed, tailored to their needs. They then attend a lesson on a weekly basis (which can be done in the centre or online - using webcams). Sessions last 60 minutes and will have up to four qualified teachers working with up to 16 students (no more than four students per teacher). Students are all ages and can work on totally different topics. Each student gets some 1-1 time and independent tasks to consolidate their learning. How much does it cost? We offer different payment options based on the number of weeks a student is signed up for. Prices currently start from £36 per lesson. What makes Kip different? * 49 years of tutoring experience * All tutors are qualified teachers * We offer a free assessment * Individualised learning plans for all students * In centre or online lessons What do I do if I want to find out more?
