On the move

IT’S moving day for some NHS staff in Dumfries this weekend as they vacate the newly sold Crichton Hall, which is set to become a luxury spa hotel.

The mental health outpatients team, along with diabetics services and cardiac rehabilitation are all moving down the road to the former DGRI site, now renamed Mountainhall Treatment Centre, pictured.

The big move takes place from today, Friday, and they will be in their new home and back in business from Monday to ensure continuity of service for patients and minimal disruption for staff.

Director of finance Katy Lewis, is also a lead on the Mountainhall Redevelopment Project for NHS Dumfries and Galloway, and she said: “This is a development which brings services from multiple sites to one location. We look forward to Mountainhall Treatment Centre developing into its own unique healthcare facility, and at the same time having close links to DGRI, community hospitals and community services throughout the region.”
