IS Britain’s favourite path located in Dumfries and Galloway? The Ramblers, Britain’s walking charity, is inviting the public to take part in the search for Britain’s favourite path 2025. This was launched on the 1st of May, coinciding with National Walking Month, to encourage people across England, Scotland and Wales to share a photo of their favourite path. Doing so, gives you a chance for the path to be crowned the nation's favourite. TV presenter Jeff Brazier will help judge the entries and said: "It’s a privilege to be on the judging panel to find Britain's Favourite Path. Walking means a lot to me physically, mentally and emotionally. Britain’s paths are described as more than just a walk, but as a national treasure that can connect us with nature, adventure and a chance of exploration." The competition opened on Thursday 1st of May; submit a photo of your favourite walking route and with a story behind it, for example, why is it important to you? Judges will select eight winners, one from each category, then these will be put out to the public vote in July to determine the overall winner. Alongside the achievement, Cotswold Outdoor will provide a £200 voucher to the overall winner and each category winner will receive £50.
