New surgery taking shape
AN update has been given on the new GP surgery at Glenluce. Directors and staff from the Old Luce Development Trust held a site visit this week and saw how things are taking shape. They said in an update: “Progress continues on the new surgery building with the kit up, 95 per cent of the partition work done, the roof trusses and sheeting up and roof tiling started. “Coming up in the next five-six weeks will be finishing the roof, installing the windows and doors, floor insulation, under floor heating, floor screed and the first fix electrics.” The project is on target, subject to the final tranche of funding, for the new building to be in use by December and the groundworks finished by the end of March 2027. Thanks have been expressed to the Old Luce Community Fund for funding the project.
