New recruits for Post Office in Dumfries

ROYAL Mail has hired 14 new posties in Dumfries in a bid to improve the service which has been facing resourcing challenges. The new recruits have been hired in the DG1 and DG2 postcode areas over the last few weeks. A Royal Mail spokesperson said: “We are sorry to customers in Dumfries who have experienced delays. “We’ve recently recruited 14 new postmen and women to strengthen the local team, which will help improve the quality and reliability of deliveries.”
