New MSP's message
ONE of the area’s new MSPs has addressed the electorate after his swearing in ceremony at the Scottish Parliament. South Scotland Reform MSP Jamie Langan said: “It was an honour to be elected to represent the South Scotland region, and it was truly humbling to receive the faith and support of thousands of people right across the region. “I decided to stand for election as I was fed up of hard-working Scots having less and less money in their pockets at the end of the month, businesses struggling to keep their heads above water, our rural communities being let down, and our town centres being left to rot.” He has pledged to ‘prioritise promoting prosperity for every part of South Scotland’, adding: “I promise to fight your corner every day at Holyrood. “Thank you again for faith and I look forward to repaying this over the next five years in Holyrood.”
