IVAR Milligan has been announced as the new chief executive of The Crichton Trust. He succeeds Gwilym Gibbons and will start in the position in July. Ivar, who has 15 years of senior leadership experience in the charity, said: “It is a great privilege to be appointed chief executive of The Crichton Trust. The Crichton is a unique and important asset for Dumfries and Galloway, with a powerful role to play in further education, enterprise, heritage, culture and community life. “I am looking forward to working with the board, staff, partners and stakeholders to build on the progress already made and to support a strong, sustainable future for The Crichton.” Trust chairman Dr David Hall welcomed him and added: “The Board is confident he has the skills and leadership qualities needed to guide The Crichton through its next phase of development, while building on the foundations laid by Gwilym Gibbons.” The Trust also paid tribute to Mr Gibbons and thanked him for his service to the organisation.
