More visitors for arts centre

VISITOR numbers went up by 30 per cent at a Dumfries arts centre last year. Between April 1 and September 30 last year, 12,697 people flocked to the Gracefield attraction in Edinburgh Road – a marked increase of 3003 on 2024. It holds various exhibitions throughout the year featuring work by local, national and international artists and makers. The venue’s collection stores are home to over 600 paintings, drawings and original prints by Scottish artists. And it offers a ‘vibrant programme’ of printmaking workshops and children’s art and craft workshops.
