Man in court for New Year robbery

It happened in Balmoral Road in Dumfries on New Year's Day. Matthew Howes or Martin, 36, of Millburn Avenue, Dumfries, was on a petition before Sheriff Brian Mohan at Dumfries on Wednesday. He was on a petition alleging charges of assault and robbery. No plea or declaration was made and the case was continued for further examination.
