A MAN was taken to hospital in Glasgow after a serious crash between a car and lorry on the A75 near Creetown yesterday morning.
Emergency services were called to the accident at about 2.15 am, which involved a blue BYD Seal car and a white lorry.
The male driver of the car was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment, but the driver of the lorry was uninjured.
The road was closed for a lot of the day to allow for investigations to take place and re-opened around 4pm.
Road policing officers are now appealing for witnesses and Sergeant Colin Ramage said: “I am appealing to anyone who was travelling on the A75 around 2.15am on Wednesday, 9 July, and saw what happened to contact us. Likewise, if you saw either vehicle prior to the collision and have information which may assist our investigation, please get in touch.
“I’d also ask drivers with dash-cam footage to review this and bring anything of significance to our attention.”
Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference number 0283 of 9 July, 2025.
