London train times revealed
A NEW direct train service from Lockerbie to London will start next month.
The new Lumo service, which connects Stirling with Euston, and calls at Lockerbie, will launch on May 17.
And the initial timetables have been published and reveal a phase in for the first two months, until July 27 when it will all kick in.
They show that Monday to Friday, there will be four departures a day, staggered between 7.40 am and 6.30 pm.
There will also be four departures on Saturdays and three on Sundays, but at different times to during the week.
It looks like the journey time will be about four hours and 45 minutes, with up to five stops on the way at locations such as Preston, Crewe and Milton Keynes.
Lumo say they are “expanding Scotland’s long-distance rail network and bringing affordable, open-access travel to more communities along the route.”
