THE senior captaincy team at Dumfries High School are celebrating after their school was once again been named in The Times Top 100 State Secondary Schools in Scotland for this year. In fact, the school has been named in the top 50 for the third year in a row. Dumfries High School is one of three schools across the region to feature in the top 50 of the prestigious list. Headteacher Phil Cubbon said: “For the school to be recognised in this way once again is testament to the hard work and dedication of staff, pupils and parents/carers who continue to work together to ensure that our young people attain highly year-on-year. “I’m really proud of everyone’s efforts and I would like to both thank and congratulate everyone involved.”
