A ‘BOLD and inclusive’ vision for Heathhall has been unveiled.

The initial draft of the local Place Plan for the area is ready to view with residents urged to find out more.

The plan sets out the aspirations, priorities and proposals for Heathhall, ensuring the community’s needs and ambitions are represented in the local authority’s planning processes.

And the vision that has been created for the coming decade, with input from local people, is described as ‘bold and inclusive’.

The community centre team said: “We aspire to create a community where people of all ages have access to quality facilities for education, recreation, health, and wellbeing.

“We envision safer roads for cyclists, pedestrians, and motorists, improved access to our beautiful green spaces, and a robust public transport system supporting sustainable travel for work, higher education, and leisure.

“Heathhall will be a welcoming place for new opportunities, fostering growth and development, and nurturing a vibrant community where families want to stay, settle, and thrive. Simply put, we aim for Heathhall to be a great place to live, learn, work, and play.”

To ensure the Local Place Plan reflects the views and priorities of all residents, those behind it are now inviting people living locally to participate in upcoming community events. These gatherings will provide an open forum for discussion and feedback on every aspect of the plan.

They said: “Whether you are a long-standing resident or new to Heathhall, your input is invaluable in shaping the future of our area.”

There will be a coffee morning at the community centre on Saturday November 15, 10-12; a Christmas craft fair on November 22, 11-2; and an open forum on November 26, 4-6 pm.
