Group secures waste contract with NHS

RECYCLING and waste management specialist, NWH Group, has been awarded the contract for waste disposal for NHS Dumfries and Galloway.

Confirming the details, an NHS spokesperson said: "The contract will see NWH Group’s involvement from the initial collection of waste at the point of production, to on-site transfer and consolidation and off-site transportation, treatment, and disposal.

"To ensure compliance and traceability, all waste streams covered will be meticulously tracked through NWH Group's advanced end-to-end operating system."

Commenting, Kelly Lock, commercial lead at NWH Group, added: "Through optimised handling, increased recycling, and effective management of complex waste streams, our involvement will play an important part in supporting NHS Dumfries and Galloway as it works towards achieving the Scottish Government’s targets of reaching net zero by 2040.”
