Global listings spot for eaterie

A DUMFRIES restaurant has been rated among the top in the UK. The Globe yesterday announced that it has been honoured with a Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice Award for 2025. This esteemed award, based entirely on first-hand reviews from guests, places it among the top ten per cent of global listings on Tripadvisor. Restaurant spokesman Lee Medd said: “We are incredibly proud to have received this recognition from Tripadvisor, and we extend our deepest gratitude to every guest who took the time to share their positive experience. “We are honoured to be among the top-rated restaurants in the UK and will continue to strive for the highest standards of excellence.” Chef Jonathan Brett added: “This award validates our approach and inspires us to continue championing the best of Scottish food.” Meanwhile, Tripadvisor president Kristen Dalton has congratulated the team at The Globe for making a ‘memorable impact’ on their visitors.
