FISHING season officially got underway this week, with ceremonies on the Rivers Nith and Annan on Tuesday.
Dumfriesshire MP and MSP David Mundell and Oliver Mundell were guests at Carnsalloch, where Raymond Mundle cast the first line. They are pictured above with Jim Henderson, of the Nith Fisheries Board.
And angler David Robinson, below, was the first to cast out on the Annan following their opening event, which featured a piper.
