CUSTOMERS at a Dumfries supermarket are being given the chance to raise funds for the children’s hospice across Scotland (CHAS) with Aldi Scotland’s supermarket sweep challenge. For the challenge, the chosen shoppers get to do a five minute trolley dash, allowing them to gather as many items they can and once the time is up, they get to take the goodies home while Aldi matches the value with a donation to CHAS. Graham Nicolson, from Aldi, said: “Our annual supermarket sweeps hold a special place in the aldi calendar, donating over £50,000 to local charities since 2016. We’re very much looking forward to it making a return for another year.” Applications are open now in store and are free. Entrants must be over 18. Alcohol will not be included in the sweep.
