Beauty queen and cabin crew Linzi McLelland has spearheaded a new advertising campaign by Emirates Airline to promote their new destination, Edinburgh.
Flights between Dubai and Edinburgh are now scheduled for one a day for the rest of the year.
And Emirates jumped at the chance to use former Lockerbie lass and reigning Miss Scotland Linzi as the star in their new campaign push.
Videos of the beauty touring Edinburgh hotspots and quizzing her international colleagues on Scottish slang went live recently and the response to the ads have left Linzi feeling the love.
She said: “I am so overwhelmed at how many times the video has been shared and written about in the media.
“The Independent and even Fox News have picked up the video and written superb articles about it.
“The buzz around this has created a bigger following for me and I have been receiving messages wishing me well for Miss World.
“It’s great to be able to represent my country and get my story out all over the world.
“I am so proud and grateful for every opportunity I have had this year and look forward to move in the near future.”
Linzi will compete against 115 Misses from around the world, from Albania and Canada to Kenya and Norway, in December for the Miss World 2018 title.
The competition takes place in Sanya, China.
