Lochmaben lass Lola Callander has been picked to be a dancer in the opening ceremony of this summer's Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. The teen, who is a pupil at Lockerbie Academy, was successful in the auditions, which attracted over 1000 applicants. The school have described it as an 'absolutely incredible achievement', adding: "Lockerbie Academy is immensely proud of her and cannot wait to see her perform on such a prestigious stage representing Scotland." Lola trains with the Symar School of Highland Dancing.
