Funeral firm named best in the country
OWNERS and staff at a Dumfries and Galloway funeral firm are celebrating after they were crowned the best in Scotland.
Jardine Funeral Directors took the title of Scotland’s Best Family-Owned Business at the Scottish Funeral Awards in Glasgow last Friday night.
And Roucan Loch Crematorium, which they operate, was also named Scotland’s Best Crematorium and received a highly recommended award for outstanding customer service.
The accolades didn’t stop there as Tracy Morrison, who has been with
Jardine Funeral Directors for 25 years, received the highly recommended award for Scotland’s Best Female Undertaker.

Commenting on an incredible night, Ruth Jardine said: “To be nominated by the public and recognised by the industry’s leading awards is an incredible achievement and a real accolade for Dumfries and Galloway.

Meanwhile, Annan firm J & R Tweedie was delighted to win the award for Scotland’s Best Funeral Supplier.
