From laundry to cottage

RENOVATIONS on a historic cottage turned holiday let on the Drumlanrig Estate are now complete.

Montagu Cottage is now a charming self-catering property set within the breathtaking surroundings of the estate. Offering a perfect blend of historic character and modern luxury, Montagu Cottage is now available for guests seeking an idyllic retreat.

Originally built in the early to mid-19th century, it served as the estate’s laundry before being re-modelled in 1871 by Charles Howitt and later converted into two separate cottages in 1924 by J Laird of Glasgow.

The cottage comfortably accommodates six guests.
