Free course for enterprising young people

A FREE short course is being launched that could help young people turn an idea for social good into a real social enterprise.

IGNITE is targeting those aged 16 to 25 within Dumfries and Galloway.

They will be supported to develop strengths and skills to explore their idea and consider turning it into a socially driven enterprise.

At the end of the course, there will be the chance to pitch to a funding panel who may be able to offer support to turn the idea into a functioning social enterprise.

There are 12 places available on the programme run by Social Enterprise Dumfries and Galloway, part of Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway. It will run through a variety of mediums and will take up about one day a week through February and March next year.

If a suitable candidate shows a keen interest from the 25-30 bracket, they will also be considered on merit.

Apply now at www.tfaforms.com/4953570 by Monday January 17.
