Free AI webinars for parents
PARENTS in the region are being invited to sign up for a three-part webinar series to learn more about Artificial Intelligence (AI).
They are being run by Education Scotland and the University of Edinburgh and the sessions are designed for anyone who is new to AI and would like to understand how it works and how it can support children’s learning at home.
The first session will explore:
- What is AI?
- How AI is used in everyday life.
- How does AI work?
- The social and environmental impacts of AI.
- What careers are linked to AI?
- A short overview of the topics covered in the remaining sessions, with an opportunity for parents to share the questions they would most like answered.
These webinars are open to parents and to professionals working in the education sector in Scotland. To request a place, email [email protected].
They take place on Tuesday April 21, 12.30pm with 'What every parent should know about Artificial Intelligence'; Wednesday May 13, 4pm, 'Ethics and children’s rights'; and Thursday June 4, 4pm, 'AI and children’s learning'.
