A FORMER church on Irving Street, most recently known locally as a boxing gym with plenty of punch, has come onto the market. Going to auction on January 29, the two-storey property has a guide price of £190,000. Spanning approximately 393 sq m / 4,230 sq ft, the building includes a reception area, downstairs studio, changing rooms with showers and an extensive upstairs studio.

Meanwhile, it has original stained-glass windows and retains plenty of architectural history. Mandi Cooper, managing director at Auction House Scotland, said: “This is an unusual property with bags of potential. Its previous life as a church then boxing gym gives it a certain charm, but the space and structure open the door to many possible uses. “We expect strong interest from buyers looking for a development project with real character - and this one certainly packs a punch.”
