THE Burns Howff Club’s St Andrews Night dinner was held in The Globe Inn, Dumfries last Thursday. The top table was piped in by club piper Callum Watson, while honorary president David Smith BEM said Grace. Members Kenny Hilsley and Doug Carroll enthralled all with their musical skill, while Scott Sloan impressed with his recital of Burns’ Scotch Drink. Guest speaker was honorary member Ian Landles, from Hawick, who gave an in depth and inspiring address and toast to Auld Scotia. President David Johnson thanked all for a wonderful evening.
