TWO mid Annandale businesses were recognised at the 2025 Italian Awards in Glasgow.

The glittering ceremony on Sunday night saw Dryfebridge-based pizza chefs Jackie and Jordan Minaudo take home the award for Best Pizza. It was their first time being shortlisted at the awards and Jackie was delighted to come away with the win, saying: “From a bit of fun as a hobby in the garden to becoming highly recommended by The Italian Awards in 2025.

“We are truly blown away by your support. Not only coming away with the highly recommended, we have been asked to be part of a team to compete in Parma at the Pizza World Championships.

“In 2026 we will be back with a bang.”

Meanwhile, Lochmaben gelateria A Crolla and Sons scooped up three awards: taking home Highly Recommended awards in the Best Family Run Business, Best Team and Best Gelateria categories.

Reacting on social media to their award, Martin Crolla said:”To win something in every single category we were finalists in is such a fantastic achievement and I could not be prouder of my team.”
