Five star hotel plan

THE new owners of the Crichton Hall in Dumfries have confirmed their plans to turn it into a five star destination hotel and spa, creating 250 jobs in the process.

Jed and Joanne Clark are in the final stages of completing the purchase of the historic 12 acre site from NHS Dumfries and Galloway for an unknown sum.

And they are planning a significant investment to transform the building, which is located on Glencaple Road on the Crichton site, while protecting and preserving many of its original features.

The Clarks already own the luxury Fonab Castle Hotel at Pitlochry and are excited about the new opportunity.
