Finalists named for inaugural Crichton Awards

THE Crichton Foundation has announced the finalists for the inaugural Crichton Awards.

It’s a key event in the Foundation’s 25th anniversary celebrations and will recognise exceptional contributions across the Crichton Campus and honour the individuals and organisations whose work make it a vibrant and inspiring place to study and work.

There are eight award categories and three finalists shortlisted in each: -Staff Member of the Year – Dumfries and Galloway College Danielle Higginson; William Spurway; Phil Storrier -Staff Member of the Year – Open University in Scotland Gemma Burnside; Derek Goldman; Helen Wilkinson -Staff Member of the Year – Scotland’s Rural College Ely Blyth; Gemma Higgins; Lucy Thornton - Staff Member of the Year – University of Glasgow Stephen Patterson; Freya Skinner; Bethan Wood -Staff Member of the Year – University of the West of Scotland Joe Brown; Julie Orr; Rhona Winnington - Small Business (<5 staff) Almond Hearing; Clay Works Studio; C&C Insurance Brokers - Medium Business (5–9 staff) Developing the Young Workforce D&G; D&G Advocacy Service; Solway Disability Support - Large Business (10+ staff) Better Lives Partnership; The Holywood Trust; Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway The winners will be revealed at the Crichton Awards Evening next week.
