SCOTLAND’S most southerly shop has put on the market.

For over 50 years, Drummore Stores has been owned by Bill and Tina Adye.

The couple moved to Rhins from England after initially visiting the area on holiday. They later decided to buy the shop and relocate permanently.

Now Bill and Tina have decided to sell and enjoy their well-deserved retirement while staying in the village, handing the reins of the store over to a new owner.

Bill commented: “After more than five decades at the heart of this wonderful community, Tina and I feel it’s the right time to enjoy our retirement while remaining in the village we love.

“Drummore Stores has been a huge part of our lives, and we are proud of the role it has played in serving local residents and visitors alike.

“We look forward to seeing new custodians take over and enjoy the store as much as we have, continuing its tradition as a vital hub for the area.

“We are delighted to be working with specialist business property adviser Christie & Co to ensure a smooth transition and find the right buyer to carry the business forward.”

The store and the adjoining house on Mill Street is on the market with an asking price of £335,000.
