It will offer a wide range of activities and 12 different events within each area of Dumfries and Galloway, all free for ages 12-25. From football to inflatables, community fun nights to free swim and cinema sessions. It kicks off at The Crannog in Castle Douglas on June 20 with a BBQ, and bubble football and axe throwing. Other highlights of the week will be free gym sessions, interactive storytelling, a survival themed escape room, silent disco, football, roller discos, festival hair and makeup, street hockey tournament, community picnic, inflatables, bicycle maintenance and much more. Chairperson of Dumfries and Galloway Youth Council, Ailsa McDairmant said: “Youth Beatz Festival is so much more than the main event weekend, and the fringe is delivering a great programme across the region. It is great to see such a broad range of events happening across Dumfries and Galloway to suit all interests.”
